Once you've settled on a date (or a few different date options), you need to book your photographer ASAP! Photographers book out far in advance and you don't want to be scrambling to find what we consider the most important aspect of your wedding day. After all, photos are all you will have to look back on!
You may even want to start talking with photographers you absolutely love before you've settled on a date so you can make sure they're available. Plus, you need to book your photographer first so that you can get some engagement photos done!
What could be just as important as a photographer? Well somewhere for you to get married at of course! So next up, you need to book your venue. It's a good idea to be interviewing photographers and looking at venues simultaneously so that you can make sure a date aligns for both. Once you settle on a venue it will help you determine what else you may (or may not) need based on what your venue provides (think tables, linens, day-of coordinator, food, etc.). Your venue will also drive the style of your wedding day so be sure to be thinking about this as well!
Once you've locked in your photographer and venue, we promise you all of the other vendors will fall into place! These two vendors are the big ones that you need to focus on FIRST!
