Looking for more ways to save on your wedding? We've got you covered girl! On today's blog we're going to share with you six MORE tips to save on your wedding! Let's jump in!
1. Wedding Dress
An inexpensive wedding dress with the right alterations can do wonders! Your dress doesn't have to be the most expensive wedding dress for you to look like a million bucks! If you get your dress altered and fit perfectly to your body, you will not only save money, but you will look your absolutely best! Opt for an inexpensive wedding dress, but the best alterations, for an easy way to save money!
2. Wedding Flowers
We always tell our brides (and we've shared in past blogs) that if you're looking to save A LOT on your wedding flowers then choose lots greenery and/or fake flowers, especially for large spaces like your arch or main table. And don't do loads of flowers at your ceremony site. If you need to save, spend more on your reception space and your bridal bouquet.
While a live band can seem like a fun option, choosing a DJ is definitely the best way to save thousands of dollars on your wedding. Consider a band that can cost $4,000+ while a DJ can range from $650-$1500. That's a big difference! Plus, there are some advantages to having a DJ, such as being able to request absolutely any song you and your wedding guests want!
4. Wedding Cake
Choose a cake from somewhere like Publix or Sam's Club versus a baker who specializes in wedding cakes. As we've shared before, the cakes that are at grocery stores like these can look and taste just as great. Be sure to come with exactly what you want your cake to look like. Also, if you really want to save money here, then opt for a small tiered cake and extra sheet cakes to serve your guests. They'll never know the difference since the servers will cut and plate the cake out of sight!
Did you know, you can find very inexpensive, but gorgeous wedding invitation templates on Etsy?! Buying these digital templates, editing them, and then printing them somewhere like Vista-print can save you money! While it may be a bit more time consuming, it's definitely a good way to save money if you're willing to invest in the work.
6. Marriage License
Guess what? If you and your fiancé participate in a pre-marital prep course or counseling, most states will give you a discount on your marriage license! While this is a smaller one, it's important to remember that all the little things add up! Plus, we definitely recommend you do pre-marital prep anyways as it's a great way remember what this season is all about and to prepare a solid foundation as you enter into marriage.
